New project starting inspired by the Big five - start and progress Feb 2025
After the successful previous project inspired by bird, I have decided to continue to work on project to start a new body of work . The Big five is quite interesting as few animals part of the big five are quite a challenge for me and not my usual subject. part of this discovery, I will work on various small works and hopefully one or 2 a bit larger this year. I am sharing few sketches and studies that I have done so far .
I am quite please with the first 2 sketches for the rhino and also the leopard head study. I will continue to work on the rhino as I have a great idea to do a semi abstract/abstract work around it so watch the space…

Wonderfull sale via Saatchi Gallery. The Three riders verdigris edition was completed by Sculpture Casting foundry to arrive just in time for Christmas with its new owner.

The small Eelgantia and Small Trogan , bronzes, edition 4/12 each have been completed at the GW lunts foundry. they are on their way to Sculpture by the lakes/Gallery by the lakes .

This work is one of the new works being release from my project “inspired by Birds” .
